Reliving History

In March, large crowds of spectators lined the Princes Highway in Milton NSW Australia to witness a special recreation of history, reliving an event from 100 years ago when a photo was taken of a large bullock team pulling a dray through the historic township of Milton..
Members of the Milton Ulladulla Videography Club were busy capturing video from all angles and positions at the historic event. Using eight video cameras, footage was captured from the yoking of the animals in the morning through to the street parade, when Princes Highway was closed for a short time. This allowed the modern approximation of the bullock team photograph from 1916 outside Blackburn's Building now home to Milton Newsagency.
The bullocks’ modern journey ended at Milton Showground where the team participated in the 2016 Milton Show Grand Parade.
